Participants in the Accelerator will transition from “testing the problem” to “testing the solution.”  Teams in the program will have access to:

  • A broad network of support from

    • DC I-Corps

    • The University of Maryland

    • The George Washington University

    • Virginia Tech University

    • Washington DC Economic Partnership’s AccelerateDC

    • Other community mentoring groups, incubators, accelerators, and angel investor groups

  • Advice on legal and financial issues specific to start-ups

  • Preferred access to incubator and shared office space in the start-up community

  • Fundraising guidance (SBIRs, STTRs, and angel and institutional investment opportunities)

  • Pitch guidance

  • Greater visibility in the I-Corps program through Show Case events in the community

  • Networking opportunities and the opportunity to learn from the past successes and failures of our experienced mentors
